Transit Options from PKX to PEK Airport
Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) lies about 79km (49 miles) from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Traveling between the two hubs can take around 70–100 minutes depending on the mode of transport. Taxis and private transfers are the fastest but pricier, while buses and the subway are more budget-friendly. Car rentals offer full flexibility, though a temporary Chinese license is required for foreigners.

Taxi
Airport taxis from PKX to PEK are the quickest option, taking about 70 minutes under light traffic. The fare is around 255 RMB (33€ / 35.80$), including tolls. Expect longer and more expensive rides during rush hours and at night (11:00 pm–05:00 am). Payments are accepted in cash, with a Beijing Pass (Yikatong), or through WeChat, Alipay, and UnionPay. International credit cards aren’t accepted. Always use the official taxi rank outside the first level of the terminal to avoid scams.
Bus
The Capital Airport Line runs buses from PKX to PEK Terminals T2 and T3 in about 90 minutes. However, services are limited, with just three departures daily (01:30 pm, 04:00 pm, and 06:30 pm). Tickets cost 35–55 RMB (4.52–7.11€ / 4.91–7.72$) and can be purchased via WeChat machines, the app, or directly onboard (cash only). The Yikatong Card is also valid.
Subway
Traveling by subway requires three changes and about 100 minutes in total. First, take the Daxing Airport Express (22 minutes, 35 RMB). At Caoqiao Station, transfer to Line 10 (40 minutes, 5 RMB), then switch at Sanyuanqiao to the Capital Airport Express (30 minutes, 25 RMB). The total fare is about 65 RMB (8.40€ / 9.12$). Tickets are available at machines, kiosks, and online, and Yikatong Cards can be used.

Private Transfers
Private transfers are the most comfortable choice, offering door-to-door service, English-speaking drivers, and high-end vehicles.
