The Beijing Daxing Airport Subway System
The new Beijing Daxing Airport Express is one of the fastest and most efficient ways to travel between PKX Airport and Beijing. Currently, the line has just two stops beyond the airport itself: Daxing Xincheng and Caoqiao. The ride to Caoqiao takes only 22 minutes, with trains departing every 9–15 minutes. Fares are set at 35 RMB (4.54€ / 4.91$) for a standard ticket and 50 RMB (6.50€ / 7$) for business class.
At Caoqiao Station, passengers can transfer to Subway Line 10 or Line 19 to continue toward central Beijing, Beijing West Railway Station, or other city areas. Full expansion plans include extending the line north to the Lize Business District, where a city terminal with in-town check-in facilities will be available. A southern extension is also under discussion but not yet scheduled.
Beijing Daxing Airport Subway Lines
Two metro routes are planned to link PKX to the city:
- Line R4 (Transit Line 20): will eventually connect Daxing Airport to PEK Airport, Xinghuo, and Beijing Railway Stations. This line is still in development.
- Airport Express Line: already in service, running between Daxing Airport, Daxing Xincheng, and Caoqiao. It will later extend to Lize Business District, providing faster access to downtown Beijing.
Time Schedule
The Daxing Airport Express operates daily from 06:00 to 23:00. Trains run every 9.5 minutes during rush hours and about every 15 minutes late in the evening. The journey lasts 15 minutes to Daxing Xincheng and 22 minutes to Caoqiao.
