Flights from Beijing Daxing (PKX) to Barcelona

BCN · Spain · 8,850 km · no nonstop service

Beijing Daxing does fly to Europe, but not to Barcelona — the network stops at a handful of northern and southern European gateways.

There is no nonstop PKX–BCN flight

Beijing Daxing carries no scheduled service to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport. This is not a seasonal gap: when Daxing opened in 2019 it took the domestic network and a limited set of international routes, while Beijing’s European long-haul stayed at Beijing Capital (PEK).

Two things follow. First, a ticket that says “Beijing” is not self-explanatory — check whether it means PKX or PEK before you plan anything around it. Second, if your itinerary genuinely starts at Daxing, you are looking at a connection: either through another Chinese hub, or a change of airport in Beijing, which is a two-hour journey across the city rather than a connection.

Daxing does fly to Europe, just not to Barcelona. Its European gateways are Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Istanbul, Lisbon, London–Heathrow, Milan–Malpensa — connecting through one of those keeps you inside a single airport at the Beijing end. Frequently asked questions

Are there direct flights from Beijing Daxing (PKX) to Barcelona?

No. Beijing Daxing does not operate scheduled nonstop service to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN). Any itinerary you find with PKX at one end and BCN at the other includes at least one stop.

Which Beijing airport flies to Barcelona?

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) carries most of Beijing’s European long-haul. Daxing does fly to Europe, but only to 7 gateways — Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Istanbul, Lisbon, London–Heathrow, Milan–Malpensa — and Barcelona is not among them.

How do I get between Daxing and Capital if I have to change airports?

The two airports are on opposite sides of Beijing and the transfer takes roughly two hours by road. Allow for it as a separate journey, not a connection — see our guide to travelling between PKX and PEK.
