About Thai VietJet Air

Thai VietJet is the Thai affiliate of Vietnam's VietJet, launched in 2014 and operating under its own Thai air operator's certificate from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. It is a separate airline from its Vietnamese parent, with its own fleet and staff, sharing the brand and the low-cost model.

It has grown quickly on Thai domestic routes and on short-haul international services into China, Vietnam and India.

Thai VietJet Air flights from Beijing Daxing

The Daxing–Bangkok Suvarnabhumi route. Beijing–Bangkok is one of the busiest international city pairs in Asia and is served by full-service carriers too, so Thai VietJet's role is the budget option on a route where the alternatives are comfortable but pricier.

Thai VietJet Air serves one destination from PKX: Bangkok–Suvarnabhumi.

Route lists change with the summer and winter schedules, and frequencies change more often than that. For the flights operating today, check the live arrivals and departures boards.

Planning your trip

At Beijing Daxing, Thai VietJet Air checks in at Level 4 departures (international). Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure on international ones — Daxing is a large building, and the walk from check-in to a far gate is a real part of your timing.

  • It flies to Suvarnabhumi, not Don Mueang — the two Bangkok airports are an hour apart in traffic.
  • Thailand's entry rules for Chinese and many other passport holders have changed repeatedly. Check current requirements.
  • A six-hour flight in a low-cost seat with no included meal: buy food before boarding.

Getting to the airport takes planning of its own: the Daxing Airport Express and the intercity railway are the fastest options from central Beijing, with taxis and private transfers as the door-to-door alternatives. The airport guide covers terminal layout, security and what is open landside.
