About Shanghai Airlines
Shanghai Airlines was Shanghai's own carrier from 1985 until China Eastern absorbed it in 2010. It survives as a distinct brand inside the group, with its own crews, livery and flight numbers, and its own SkyTeam listing.
Because it is operationally part of China Eastern, tickets are sold through the same channels and the same frequent-flyer programme, but the aircraft, cabin crew and service standard are the ones the Shanghai brand is known for.

Planning your trip
At Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Airlines checks in at Departures level 4. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure on international ones — Daxing is a large building, and the walk from check-in to a far gate is a real part of your timing.
