About Juneyao Airlines
Juneyao is one of the more successful Chinese private airlines, founded in 2006 by the Shanghai-based Juneyao Group. It positions itself above the low-cost carriers without matching the big three on price, and has built a reputation for consistent service on a young Airbus and Boeing 787 fleet.
In 2017 it became a Star Alliance Connecting Partner — a status that gives its passengers some alliance benefits when connecting to full members, without Juneyao itself being a member.
Juneyao Airlines flights from Beijing Daxing
A small but deliberate Daxing presence: Shanghai–Hongqiao on the trunk route, and Jeju in South Korea, which is one of the few visa-free destinations for Chinese travellers and a steady leisure market. Both operate from the Level 4 departures hall.

Planning your trip
At Beijing Daxing, Juneyao Airlines checks in at Departures level 4. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure on international ones — Daxing is a large building, and the walk from check-in to a far gate is a real part of your timing.
- Connecting Partner status is not full Star Alliance membership — benefits are narrower than they look.
- Jeju flights fill up around Chinese public holidays; book early for those weeks.
- Its 787s appear on some Shanghai rotations, which is a noticeably better cabin than the A320 norm.
