About China Eastern Airlines
China Eastern is one of the country's big three carriers and the largest single operator at Daxing. Its home is Shanghai, but Beijing has always been its second pillar, and when PKX opened in 2019 the airline committed the bulk of its Beijing capacity here rather than splitting it.
It is a founding-era SkyTeam member and the parent of several airlines that also serve Daxing, including Shanghai Airlines, China United and Jiangxi Air. In practice that means a China Eastern ticket out of PKX may be operated by one of the group's subsidiaries — worth checking, because cabin, catering and baggage handling differ between them.

China Eastern runs the broadest network at Daxing: around sixty destinations, of which roughly a fifth are international. The Beijing–Shanghai shuttle is the backbone — the airline serves both Hongqiao and Pudong from PKX, several times a day. International routes reach Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hanoi, Sydney, Moscow, Muscat and Denpasar, which makes it the most practical single carrier for onward connections through Daxing.

Planning your trip
At Beijing Daxing, China Eastern Airlines checks in at Departures level 4. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure on international ones — Daxing is a large building, and the walk from check-in to a far gate is a real part of your timing.
- Shanghai flights split between Hongqiao (close to the city) and Pudong (the international airport). They are not interchangeable — check which one your ticket names.
- SkyTeam status gets you lounge access at PKX; Daxing is a SkyTeam-leaning airport, unlike Capital.
- The airline's own app handles seat selection and check-in in English, and opens 48 hours before departure.
