About Beijing Capital Airlines
Beijing Capital Airlines is part of the HNA group and, despite the name, is now a Daxing carrier. It began as a general-aviation operator, became Deer Jet, then reinvented itself as a scheduled airline with a hybrid model — full-service on longer routes, stripped back on short domestic hops.
Its personality shows in the route map: alongside ordinary domestic flying it runs a small set of leisure long-haul routes that few other Chinese carriers bother with, notably the Maldives, Colombo and a seasonal Lisbon service.

Planning your trip
At Beijing Daxing, Beijing Capital Airlines checks in at Departures level 4. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure on international ones — Daxing is a large building, and the walk from check-in to a far gate is a real part of your timing.
- The Maldives and Colombo flights are leisure-timed and often depart late at night — factor in a long evening at PKX.
- Cabin service varies sharply between its long-haul A330s and its domestic A320s; read the fare rules rather than assuming.
- Lisbon is seasonal. Check it is actually operating in your travel month before planning around it.
