AirAsia is the airline that created the low-cost market in Southeast Asia, relaunched in 2001 with two aircraft and a slogan about everyone being able to fly. Its fares are unbundled to the point where nothing beyond the seat is included, and its booking flow pushes extras hard — but the base fares on regional routes remain among the lowest available.

At Beijing Daxing, AirAsia checks in at Level 4 departures (international). Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure on international ones — Daxing is a large building, and the walk from check-in to a far gate is a real part of your timing.
